Accessible Wellbeing Walks in Lower Leas, Folkestone

1st and/or 3rd Thursday of most months.

10.00 - 12.00 Booking is advised in case of adverse weather causing rescheduled date or timings.

The Lower Leas Coastal Park offers a variety of opportunities for differing needs.


For those with mobility limitations, (those with a walker, stick or just a bit wobbly on their feet) can find ample seating all around the coastal park.  


This is also a great location for those who live in the local area, without means of transport to the other locations


We can offer sessions to gain confidence and familiarity with new wheeled equipment. As there is a range of terrain around the park.

This location is suitable for those with mobility limitations as there is a Disabled Toilet on site as well as lots of seating available for rests, plus an accessible Sea View Cafe (The Mermaid Cafe). As well as an historic cafe near the entrance (The Lift Cafe).


The park has secured funding for a Changing Places Toilet facility, which will be installed in due course.


There is Disabled Parking free for Blue Badge Holders for 3 hours.

We'll be exploring the gardens along an easy access path, taking time to explore coastal planting, wildflower area with a backdrop of the sea. Join us and get close to nature with our experienced Support Walkers.
