Wild with wheels has completely changed my life. I went from being house bound for 4 years to having a wheelchair that allowed me to get out and about.

I was desperate to get out the same 4 walls I had been staring at for 4 years but I was also terrified about meeting new people.


I decided to try wild with wheels to be around people who got the daily struggle of being in pain and not being very mobile but what I wasn't expecting was to meet an amazing group of people and my all time best friend.


I was so nervous that I had lost all social skills and confidence and I was a shell of my former self but within a couple of months I started to regain myself again. I have all sorts of conditions from physical, mental and learning difficulties and not once have I ever felt out of place or judged, just supported and accepted.


This not only blew my mind but I hadn't experienced this before. I cannot express how thankful I am to Gini and wild with wheels, thank you for everything and all that you do!! Xx

The ability of the Wild with Wheels staff to nurture the participation of our pupils has been outstanding, and they make every effort to ensure that each individual pupil experiences the best 'wild walk' possible.


Access to the natural environment is essential for the well-rounded education of our pupils, and our experiences with Wild with Wheels CIC have greatly enriched our pupils' learning through natural sensory experiences, the ability of our staff to enhance their teaching, and demonstrating to our wider community the possibilities for our young people to access nature, varied habitats and landscapes, and local history.

The Beacon is an all-age school (3-19 years) offering pupils with complex needs, profound and severe learning difficulties and physical and sensory impairments, a wide range of educational experiences.

 

The Beacon has a strong cooperative ethos and culture, building on personalised learning to ensure all students thrive within school and beyond. Learning at The Beacon follows a child-centred ‘needs led’ approach, providing a safe and secure environment to ensure appropriate challenges for achievement and progress in all areas.

We offer 1:1 supported sessions or Group sessions for 6 or 12 weeks.  


Referrals should be for persons aged 18+ who are living in Kent.  


For Local Offer Disabilities and SEMH (ages 4-17), Please contact WWW CIC separately for our Intensive Wellbeing Support option.


A copy of the submitted form will be emailed to the email address you supply below for reference.
